CEMAS has a primary responsibility for engaging and nurturing SMEs from the Convergence Area of Wales which constitutes of parts of North Wales, West Wales and the Valleys through the development, design, testing and route to market of mobile applications covering the wide spectrum of areas.
The support for businesses is aimed at reducing the initial risk associated with developing new applications and services, as well as allowing innovative start-up companies to use the centre’s resources to create the first version of their product.
We host a number of free events through the year which are aimed at promoting and developing the mobile economy in wales and showcasing the best welsh talent in the mobile and IT industry.

The CEMAS Mobile App Workshop series has been set up to help small businesses in Wales realise the potential of developing a mobile app which can improve and support their business. The first event will take place at the Waterton Technology Centre 9am until 5pm on the 12th March 2014. The event offers advice on preparing for app development to save you time and money, 1-2-1 sessions with CEMAS experts to talk about app development and design as well as the workshop sessions where you will get the opportunity to think about taking your idea and turning it in to an app – looking at its features, design and how it can be monetised.
