Case Study - RAF Brize Norton
UGCS has delivered PRINCE2 Practitioner courses for the MOD using RAF St Athan as a central base since January 2006. UGCS was approached by Mark Casling (Personal Learning Advisor) who found that there was a requirement for MOD St Athan personnel to be trained using PRINCE2 as the methodology was used as best practice in the MOD but not widely utilised on the St Athan site. UGCS had in depth discussions with MOD St Athan to identify the requirements and become fully familiar with implementing the PRINCE2 methodology in a defence related environment to be confident that our expertise would meet the Ministry of Defence’s requirements in full.
Initially the PRINCE2 Practitioner courses were provided for personnel based at St Athan. However due to the success of our PRINCE2 training, UGCS have provided PRINCE2 Practitioner training for delegates from the following bases; RAF Lyneham, RAF St Morgan, RAF Odiham, RAF Halton, Trenchard Lines Upavon, JSSO Cheltenham, Defence Academy Shivenham, Defence Logistics Middle and Wallop MoD Main Building Whitehall.
Following on from the successful delivery of PRINCE2 training at MOD St Athan, UGCS is now the preferred supplier of PRINCE2 training to RAF Brize Norton.
